3rd International Workshop on Tracking Detectors in High Energy Physics

IWTD - HEP 2019

14 - 18 October, 2019

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, is the largest particle accelerator in the world to probe the fundamental questions about the nature. The particle detectors which are part of the LHC experiments play a key role to achieve the physics objectives. This workshop will cover the current R&D progress and performance of tracking detectors being used in high energy physics experiments and other applications.

  • Semiconductor Detectors: Physics and Principle
  • Tracking Detectors at LHC and their performance
  • CMS Phase-2 Tracker Upgrade Project by 2023
  • CMS Tracker Mechanics
  • Silicon Strip and Pixel Detectors
  • Gas Electron Multiplier Detectors
  • Resistive Plate Chambers
