High Performance Computing (HPC) Cluster

High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster is a large parallel computing system. It provides computing power for computational intensive tasks like large scale simulations or the analysis of huge amounts of data. High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster consists of powerful computers which are connected via a fast network and attached to a shared storage system.

HPC cluster in National Centre for Physics (NCP) was established to promote research in different areas by providing high performance computing facility to users from every field of research in Pakistan.

National Centre for Physics (NCP) aims to establish a national level High Performance Computing cluster facility which is open for use by all the researchers in Pakistan.

  • Establish the national level High Performance Computing cluster
  • Provide computing infrastructure for researchers across Pakistan
  • Make partnerships and collaboration with organizations and universities
  • Active support/cooperation with user of this facility
