The Nanosciences and Technology Department (NS&TD) was founded at NCP in 2006 and focuses on advanced research and development in the fields of nanoscience and technology. Our lab-scale projects focus on key challenges related to nanomaterials applications, with the goal of providing innovative solutions and validating proof of concept. The department was initially headed by Dr. Syed Tajammul Hussain (PoP), who served as the first Project Director until his tragic passing in 2013. Dr. Sara Qaisar (PoP) then took over as Director General from January 2014 to February 2023, followed by Dr. Muhammad Shuaib (PoP), who held the position from February 2023 to January 2025. Currently, Dr. Syed Khalid Mehmood Shah is leading the department as Director Incharge. It is the most productive department at NCP in terms of research publications in ISI listed journals of international repute and registered patents in the field of Nanosciences & Technology.
