The Centre of Excellence – Pakistan Institute of Additive Manufacturing (CoE PIAM3D) is Pakistan’s pioneer in advanced additive manufacturing (3D printing). Established to bridge the gap between research, industry, and high-end manufacturing, PIAM3D functions as a comprehensive, end-to-end additive manufacturing ecosystem.

The facility houses state-of-the-art metal, polymer, and ceramic additive manufacturing systems, encompassing a wide range of technologies including SLM, EBM, SLS, FDM, SLA, and Binder Jetting. It is further equipped with advanced 3D scanning and metrology capabilities, CAD and Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) laboratories, a Micro-CT facility, and comprehensive post-processing and advanced surface-finishing labs.

From high-resolution scanning and CAD modeling to reverse engineering, inspection, restoration, DfAM-driven design, additive manufacturing, and final end-use production, PIAM3D transforms ideas into reality—enabling faster development cycles, cost-effective production, and high-performance outcomes.
