The Experimental High Energy Physics (EHEP) group is actively involved in the research activities, particularly related to the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS). EHEP group of NCP has been involved in analyzing physics data from CMS in 2011 and 2012 and maintenance work of EndCap RPCs during running of CMS detector and shutdown periods.
There are two major areas in which this group is working:
- Physics Analysis
- Top Physics
- TBZ Analysis
- Muons Physics
- R&D related to gaseous detectors
- Testing and quality assurance of Resistive Plate Chambers (RPC) produced for Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector
- Commissioning of EndCap RPCs
- Maintainance of EndCap RPCs during running CMS
- Upgrade of RPCs (RE4)
- R&D of Glass RPCs
- R&D of GEM detectors
