Introduction

The Nanosciences and Technology Department (NS&TD) at National Centre for Physics (NCP) is organizing its first annual ‘Workshop on Progress in Nanosciences and Technology (IWPNT-2020)’ from January 20-22, 2020. The workshop aims to bring together experts in the field of energy, environmental pollution, smart materials, nanobiotechnology etc. The three days’ activity will consist of invited and contributed lectures, poster sessions and lab demonstrations leaving ample time for discussions. In general, IWPNT will cover the following topics:

  • Rechargeable batteries and supercapacitors
  • Smart materials for energy harvesting and conservation
  • Advanced topics in Photovoltaics
  • Nanomaterials for environmental challenges
  • Water splitting and hydrogen generation
  • Nanobiotechnology
  • Advanced characterization techniques in nanoscience
  • Challenges in synthesis of nanostructured materials

Participation

Research students, post-doctoral researchers, faculty members and scientists/engineers actively involved in research in nanoscience and technology are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to participants desirous of giving Oral/Poster presentation. No travel reimbursement will be paid to the participants.

Registration Fee

  • Local Students:             Pak Rs. 1500/-
  • Outstation Students:      Pak Rs. 3000/-
