Introduction
Centre for Earthquake Studies is organizing a two-day symposium on contemporary topics and recent trends in earthquake studies on 04 - 05 December, 2019. This symposium will cover lectures on latest advancements in the field of seismology and allied disciplines especially earthquake forecasting. The event will provide an excellent opportunity to early career researchers and students to learn from experts of earth sciences. Furthermore, it will enhance collaboration among national institutes/universities and awareness on earthquake related research in Pakistan.

Format
The symposium includes contributed talks of ~30 minutes. A thoughtprovoking discussion among the panel of experts will be held with a futuristic objective.

Participation
Active graduate & post graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, faculty and research scientists, who have published research work in recognized international journals during the last three years, are encouraged to participate. Accommodation will be provided to outstations participants only. Meals including tea will be served to all participants.
Travel Grant
Partial travel grant will be provided to limited local participants.
